Every story has that moment when the road changes.

Call it The Crossover. The edge between fear and faith. The second you unclench your fists and let go. The frame rattles, the supports give way, and you’re dangling above the void with nothing but trust and a half-broken parachute.

It’s not polite. It happens in the dust and the noise. The storm hits, the plan fails, and the swagger drains out. That’s when grace steps in. You’re not the hero anymore—and thank Truth for it.

I didn’t find this in a quiet chapel. I found it face-down in the dirt, wondering if I’d wandered into a bad joke with no punchline. People think change is clean. It’s not. It’s a raccoon in your kitchen at 3 a.m., chewing through the bread and looking at you like you are the intruder. You stand there holding a broom, negotiating with a wild animal, and realize: this is exactly what my life looks like. That’s when you know the story is about to get interesting. And you know deep down that raccoon—like fear—isn’t going anywhere until you decide to change something about yourself, not the broom.

Fear slips in like a draft under the door. It rearranges your head without permission. It whispers, stay still while the world burns. Stillness born of fear is different from the calm of moving in silence. One is paralysis; the other is discipline. Stillness feels safe until you notice the curtains are on fire.
